Growing up and going to high school doesn't mean just that; it means suddenly getting aware of how your male classmates perceive you as something rather than someone, going to a dinner organized by your male colleagues doesn't mean just eating something with people you work with; it means sitting through their gazes as if you're an animal in a zoo and getting pregnant and starting a family means getting rid of every dream you ever had.
The writing of this book flows so easily and is so simply written but that's because this is a harsh reality for so many women- it's those seemingly small things that society does to you that just build up inside of you and that make you start wondering "Do they even see me as a human?"

Reading this when flipping the last page seems surreal when you've literally found women you know in between every page of this book. I so wish it was just fiction, but it isn't, for so many of us

she knew. No matter how you looked at it, it wasn’t a joke or a prank. Truly, flawlessly, completely, she became that person.
