I love to dance. I love to laugh. I love to learn. Crossword puzzles relax me. Waiting frustrates me. I like spending time by myself. I use way too much salt. I make New Year's resolutions. My ideal job would be writing a television sitcom. The Great Gilly Hopkins is my favorite kids' book. I appreciate witty people. I dislike whiners. I have better friends than I deserve and a family that gives me strength.I quite like my life. In fact, if there's such a thing as reincarnation, I'm coming back as me ... only skinnier.I'm a writer. It's my passion and my bread and butter. If I could go Harry Potter, it might be my cake, but so far bread and butter is about all I can afford.I write for young people. Oh, anyone can read my books, but my target audiences are generally readers between the ages of eight and eighteen. Mostly I write fiction, but I also have a few non-fiction titles. My first book

, was published in 1997. I now have 22 published titles and another coming out in the spring of 2015. Of course, there are more in the works.
