Jess Michaels began writing full-time in 1999. In 2003, she sold her first novella and first full-length historical romance, Scandalous, in September 2004. Since then, she has published over 100 novels and novellas under three different pen names with several major publishers, small presses, and self-publishing.
She wrote an erotic romance for Samhain as Jess Michaels and historical romances as Jenna Petersen. Finally, she writes snarky urban fantasy under the pen name Jesse Petersen.
Jess Michaels authored The Wicked Woodleys, The Notorious Flynns, The Ladies Book of Pleasures, The Pleasure Wars Series, and other series and stand-alone titles.
Jess Michaels lives in Tucson with her husband.
