Alex Finlay

Alex Finlay is the pseudonym of Anthony Franze, an American novelist, and lawyer in the Appellate and Supreme Court practice of a prominent Washington, D.C. His work has been translated into over a dozen languages and optioned for television and film.

Finlay is the author of the 2021 breakout thriller, Every Last Fear. The book became the 2022 Goodreads Choice nominee for Best Mystery and Thriller. Every Last Fear is now in development for the series on one of the streaming services.

His most recent novel, What Have We Done, came out in March 2023. According to critics, it cements Alex Finlay as one of the new leading voices in thrillers today.

Anthony Franze is also a board member and a Vice President of the International Thriller Writers organization.

He lives in Washington and Virginia.
