It may not have as many options in terms of transitions, screen backgrounds or credits, but you can still improve your video enormously by using it.

If you’re just starting out I recommend using the free software available on your PC – Windows Movie Maker – or on your Mac – iMovie.

Personally I recommend the cheaper packages as once again professional video quality is wasted on a web audience.

You need to have a few posts that attract readers to the blog so they look at other posts while they are there. It’s unrealistic to think that every post you write will make people stop and stare and tell all their friends about something fantastic they’ve learned but if you can aim for one or two awesome posts a week, it’s enough to make people visit your blog as opposed to another one operating in the same subject field.

If you decide you like blogging, then consider taking a basic programming course to understand the basics of self-hosted blog installation and design.
