Discipline Equals Freedom

Because you can’t control other people. You can’t make them what you want them to be. You can’t make them who you want them to be.

The only person you can control is you.

So focus on making yourself who

you want you to be:

Waking up in six days or six weeks or six years or SIXTY YEARS and being no closer to your goal … You have made NO PROGRESS.

That is the horror. That is the nightmare. That is what you really need to be afraid of: Being stagnant.

and so it delivers understanding.

FEAR OF FAILURE IS GOOD.

And that tool might be fists, but it might be guile.

It is where your tools come from, because without knowledge, there is nothing.

And it will put you on the path to strength and health and intelligence and happiness.

And most important, discipline will put you on the path to FREEDOM

Discipline will not allow that. Discipline calls for strength and fortitude and WILL.

It won’t accept weakness. It won’t tolerate a breakdown in will.

Discipline can seem like your worst enemy.

But in reality it is your best friend.

It will take care of you like nothing else can.

Discipline means taking the hard road—the uphill road.
