8. Silence can speak when you let it
You can’t not communicate: everything you do or don’t do communicates to another person. Keeping this in mind, when you’re silent, other people will develop an impression of you and what the silence means.
It’s important that you control what the silence means, because if you don’t others will—and they may not do it in the most useful ways.
Be confident in silence and when verbally communicating. One should never outweigh the other. When silence overweighs verbal communication, you may come off as arrogant or shy. In turn, When you communicate excessively, you may come off as ignorant, or annoying. Knowing when to use what is when true power to play.
