With the book’s title, I also wish to highlight the legitimacy of the other side, for duality is inherent in all real things. If something lacks duality, it does not exist. This is nothing other than balance. Life and death, growth and decline. The term ‘nullification’, which in itself signifies destruction or invalidation, also carries the possibility of duality. Reducing something to nothing. Taking away something that once was. Striving for balance. The existence of balance further presupposes that on both sides of our imaginary scales, the same quality exists simultaneously. If continuous changes are taking place in one pan of the scales, movement and change are also generated on the other side in the quest for balance. Thus, darkness, too, lives and exists within the world we have created. We have to know all about it.
