Bring to your awareness a personal or professional issue or situation that is creating confusion or conflict. For the moment, step beyond your current perspective and attitude around it and invite discovery. The purpose of this exercise is to gather new information and understanding. If your new understanding affirms what you already know, that's fine. But open yourself to the possibility of discovering something new.
Focus all of your awareness now on your thoughts—what is happening in your intellect, in your head. What is the story you tell yourself about this situation? Make no judgment about whatever you discover, and do not try to fix or change your thought; just observe.

Bring to mind a personal or professional situation that you have been approaching as a problem to be solved. Then consider what could happen if you approached it as potential waiting to unfold.
    What is the potential?
What are the possibilities—the possible ways that the potential could manifest? Which possibility do you choose to partner with?
What breakthrough could allow that potential and possibility to unfold?
What next steps are the breakthrough and potential asking you to take?
How does your situation feel different when you approach it as potential waiting to unfold rather than a problem to be solved?
How might the process and experience of leadership or service change for both you and those you serve if you employed the Potential-Based Approach rather than a problem-solving approach?

The Potential-Based Approach starts by going straight to the Opportunity level and asking, “What wants to happen here? What is the gift of this situation? What is this situation really trying to help us see?” As we perceive the potential—what wants to happen—we ask it to intuitively show us all possible means for realizing that potential. We then focus on the possibilities that really speak to us, and we partner with them to bring the potential into reality. The outcome is discovered in the process. In the end, instead of just solving a problem, we've created a new reality. We have moved forward in our evolution and development.

Choose another issue or situation to work with, or continue to work with the issue from the previous exercise.
Begin by dropping into your Emotion. What does Emotion tell you about your situation and your relationship to it in this moment? What does Emotion tell you about where you are in your life right now? What guida

Letting go of any preconceived notion of what your experience should be, imagine your soul floating out in front of you. How does it show itself to you? Does it have a shape or a color? A texture? Does it have a sound? A fragrance or a taste? What does it feel like? How would you describe it energetically? What are the qualities of your soul?
Ask your soul to tell you its greatest strength. And then ask that strength how it wants to be expressed at this time in your life.
Ask your soul what makes it unique. What makes it different from someone else's soul?

Exploration: The Vertical and Horizontal Orientations of Awareness
  • Victoria Bokushevaalıntı yaptı7 yıl önce
Action of being begins with establishing the vertical alignment, and from there widening the vertical into the horizontal, so that every action in the horizontal plane is informed by the power, wisdom, and insight of the vertical.

Being alone ultimately lacks effectiveness. Doing without being lacks meaning and insight, as well as a sense of a bigger picture.

The cross is also a powerful metaphor for two fundamental orientations to living: vertical and horizontal—who we are in the world and what we do in the world. The vertical plane of the cross represents being—who we, as individuals or organizations, are at our essence and the alignment of who we are with Consciousness. The horizontal orientation represents doing—action and
