This book talks about one of the mental health illnesses and leading causes of death in the United States. Over 43,000 Americans die from suicide every year. Some people who are depressed, some people think of suicide, and some people attempt suicide. Depression and suicide are not limited to a particular race or age. Children, adolescents, young adults, mid-lifers, boys, girls all get affected because no one is immune. This book brings a fresh approach to tackling the challenge of depression and suicide in society.
This book is divided into two parts. The first part, chapters one to five, focuses on depression and suicide.

•Depression can be caused by many reasons. It could be caused by genetics or environmental factors. Some of these factors are:

•Genetics: depression in the family.

•Other disorders such as anxiety or panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PSTD), obsessive-compulsive disorder.

•Stress or traumatic events such as abuse, the death of a loved one, break-up in a relationship, financial challenges.
